Our Plan

Current statistics in the US on the state of the church show that 80-85% of US churches are plateaued or declining.*

*Pre Covid-19 Stats

Our purpose is to change this.

What got us here will not take us there.* During the life span of all churches there are periods of strong vitality and also periods of lesser health simply due to the natural “ebb and flow” of a church’s life (the S curve) while living in a radically changing culture. The life of the community and the Church is very dynamic and many factors affect it’s health and growth. The leadership must discover and navigate the necessary changes.

* “What got you here won't get you there”

-Marshall Goldsmith

The purpose of The Church Health Group is to shorten the time on the down side of the curve, less loss of momentum, fewer sleepless nights for the pastor, more time focusing on a good process of mining the potential that is already there, making needed changes, getting back on the road to experiencing health and kingdom growth again, and experiencing more joy in ministry.

The Covid-19 Challenge

Adaptation is everything. The world in front of you is nothing like the world behind you.* Now it is even more volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous. We must adapt to thrive! How will the Church survive the Covid-19 challenge, the race challenge, the radically changing post-Christian culture challenge? What will be the necessary changes, and what will church look like? Many church leaders are saying we’ll not be able to simply restart church. It will take a whole new design.

This is perhaps the biggest challenge that the church will face in this generation. How will we adapt? One estimate is that at least 30% of your church’s pre-Covid-19 congregation will not return, and live-stream service attendance is dropping. How will we reengage them? How will we survive Covid-19? Our goal is to help the church work through these major questions and develop new ways, new methods, new strategies to accomplish the mission of the church. It will require going off the map, charting new territory. The Church Health Group exists to help the Church navigate this new territory.
